Everyone is most welcome to come along to 'try' a walk first - please have a look at the walks programme and just 'turn up on the morning'. If you require extra information about the walk, or there is something you are not sure of, please contact the person in charge of that particular walk.
You can try our EKWG walks three times free of charge. If you would like to walk more regularly with us, the only payment is membership to Ramblers.
When you join Ramblers ask to be assigned to EKWG (our group number is KT50). You will still be able to walk with other Ramblers groups but being assigned to EKWG means you are eligible to join EKWG social events, will be included in our newsletter circulation etc.

How to join EKWG
- You can join online via the Ramblers website by clicking the link above.
- Enter your "Ramblers Group" as "East Kent Walking Group" (KT50), and you'll be made a member of EKWG.
- If you join online, it sometimes takes a couple of weeks for us to receive your details, so please send your contact details to our Membership Administrator so that we can add you to our mailing lists immediately.
How to transfer to EKWG
- If you’re already a member of another Ramblers group and you have an active login account for Ramblers, you can immediately transfer your group membership to EKWG by logging Into Ramblers and going to My Account by clicking on the following button:
- From the my account page, choose My Groups, and then click the Change Ramblers Group button.
- Choose Area: Kent and Group: East Kent Walking, then click Confirm Selection button. See below for example screenshot:
